Yoga and Somatic therapy are both ways of enhancing the mind-body connection. This in turn leads to a whole-body healing experience.
Lauren started yoga to relieve stress. While taking a community yoga class once a week, she quickly fell in love with yoga and wanted to know more. This started the process of becoming a yoga guide. Since then, Lauren has been on a decade long journey to learn from various lineages. She started her yoga therapist journey when she realized that she really wanted to further her ability to help people.
Expanding even further on her desire to help others, Lauren started a journey into Somatic Experience Therapy. We cannot heal our minds without healing our bodies. Lauren has had the privilege of studying under pioneers in the field, including Dr. Peter Levine, the founder of Somatic Therapy.
Lauren loves using all these modalities to assist people along the path of healing and personal growth.
During our intake session, we will discuss what your needs are regarding healing. We will also discuss what aspects of your life that you feel we need to explore as well as what your goals are for the healing process.
Together, we will make an eight-week plan for you. The plan will be to give you tools to embody. The goal is that you will have a tool kit for daily use as you work through past and present trauma. These tools also will be useful for dealing with the stressors that present themselves during your day-to-day life.
We will typically plan for eight sessions, after the intake session, but can always add additional sessions as needed or desired by the client.
